Certain reports in recent times have cast a doubt over the working of Crown Credit Cooperative Society Limited. The reports have also questioned the working of some other credit societies in Punjab.
We wish to inform all members of Crown Credit Cooperative Society Limited that the Society abides by the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act and works according to the Cooperative principles enshrined in the Act.
The Society was registered in October 2012 and the Registration Certificate has been provided to the inspecting officials as and when called for. The requirement of seeking a no objection certificate from the state governments did not exist at the time of registration of the Society. A note requesting clarification on this matter has been submitted to the office of the Central Registrar and a copy has been provided to the inspecting officials during the current inspections of the branches.
We have heeded to the requests from the office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Punjab and allowed inspection at some locations on Sunday by calling the staff to the branch. Most of our offices in Punjab had been inspected last year and have been inspected again this year. All written instructions received by the Society from the office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies have been abided by and will be abided by in future in consultation with the office of the Central Registrar.
The Society is committed to safeguarding the interests of the members on all occasions. We request the members to visit the branch and meet the branch managers at their respective location for clarification of doubts, if required. The bye-laws of the Society are available at all our locations and a copy will be made available by the concerned branch manager on request.
We request all members to seek the relevant information and make informed decisions without getting influenced by unsubstantiated reports and conjectures.
